2-day cascade training on Cold Chain Equipment (CCE) with Nexleaf
Building Stronger Cold Chain Systems for Better Immunization
Vaccines save lives — but only if they’re kept at the right temperature.
We for Health, in collaboration with the Rwanda Biomedical Centre (RBC) and NexLeaf Analytics, led a 2-day cascade training on Cold Chain Equipment (CCE) maintenance under the Rapid Repair & Response (R3) project.
Over two weeks, 90 health providers — including EPI supervisors, heads of health centers, and vaccinators from 35 health centers — were trained to maintain and troubleshoot vaccine refrigerators through blended learning sessions.
By strengthening maintenance, reporting, and rapid response systems, this initiative helps:
✅ Reduce vaccine spoilage
✅ Improve immunization reliability
✅ Ensure every child receives potent, life-saving vaccines
A vital step toward sustaining Rwanda’s strong immunization coverage and protecting communities nationwide.
