💜 World Prematurity Day 2025

Yesterday, we joined families, healthcare providers, and district leaders to honor the tiniest fighters — preterm babies — and the incredible strength surrounding them.

In the week leading up to the celebration, We For Health carried out community awareness activities across Nyarugenge District — including public health talks at Nyarugenge Health Center and other community spaces — to raise understanding on prematurity, early care, and the small actions that save lives.

The celebration at Nyarugenge District Hospital brought together KMC mothers and fathers, parents of preterm babies in follow-up care, healthcare providers from maternity, neonatology, theater, and ambulance services, as well as hospital leadership. Representatives from Nyarugenge District, including the Director of Health Unit and the JADF officer, also joined to show their support.

Together, we strengthened our collective commitment to giving preterm babies a strong start for a brighter future.
