In response to birth asphyxia, a major contributing cause of neonatal mortality in Rwanda, We For Health (W4H) is leading efforts to strengthen newborn survival through the implementation of the national Birth Asphyxia Clinical Audit Tool at Nyamata L2TH Nyarugenge DH, and Muhima DH.

This initiative aims to improve the quality of perinatal and neonatal care by helping healthcare professionals systematically reviewing birth asphyxia cases, identifying preventable factors, and take evidence-based actions to reduce newborn mortality and morbidity linked with Birth asphyxia.

By turning data into actions and reflection into progress, we’re building a healthcare system where every woman has a positive safe motherhood, every newborn has a chance to thrive from the very first breath in the health facilities.
