Driving Sustainable Development: Highlights from JADF Nyarugenge’s General Assembly

On November 12, 2024, stakeholders gathered at Ste Famille Hotel for the Joint Action Development Forum (JADF) Nyarugenge General Assembly. The event, opened by the Mayor and chaired by the JADF Vice President, focused on fostering partnerships to advance the district’s development goals.
Key discussions included updates on the district’s performance contracts (Imihigo) and progress on partners’ initiatives for 2024-2025. Stakeholders were commended for supporting 14 underfunded Imihigo projects, ensuring their continued progress for community benefit.

The alignment of Nyarugenge’s objectives with the Second National Strategy for Transformation (NST2) 2024-2029 was a central theme. MINECOFIN representatives emphasized the importance of collaboration in achieving Rwanda’s Vision 2050, targeting a self-reliant, prosperous nation.
The event concluded with a commitment to transparent communication and teamwork, sponsored by DUHAMIC ADRI and SOS Rwanda. Together, these efforts pave the way for Nyarugenge’s sustainable environment.
Thank you to all the partners for their dedication to the district’s growth!
